Leah Williamson named Fall 2019 Outstanding Management Graduate
Fri, 11/22/2019 - 11:11amLeah Williamson is the Fall 2019 Outstanding Graduate for the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration Department of Management. She is a Hospitality Management major with a 3.92 GPA.
Williamson has been on the President’s List and Dean’s List. She is the recipient of the UL Lafayette Centennial Scholarship, Charles Gerrets, III Memorial Endowed Scholarship, TOPS Opportunity Scholarship, TOPS Honors Award, Kiwanis Key Club Scholarship, Krewe of Bonaparte Endowed Scholarship, William A. Brady Scholarship, Ruth U. Fertel Foundation Scholarship, Dr. Kerry David Carson Scholarship, and Lance Corporal Daniel Lewis Scholarship
Williamson has been a member of the Ragin’ Hospitality Association and the Eta Sigma Delta Honor Society. Her community service includes volunteering with Acadiana Animal Aid, The Big Event, UL Lafayette Honors Program, and her church. She has also volunteered at several hospitality management events including Career Day, Acadiana Food and Wine Soiree, Boo at the Zoo, Women’s Leadership Conference, and a bridal expo.
After graduation, she plans to continue working as Assistant Event Coordinator at Southern Magnolia Events with the goal of being an event planner at St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
She is the daughter of Lorie and Richard Williamson of Marrero, Louisiana.
