Resolution of Student/Faculty Issues
Procedure for Resolving Issues involving Faculty and Students in the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration:
These procedures are set forth in conjunction with those in the University Student Code of Conduct to help resolve any issues including but not limited to grade appeals, classroom disturbances, and student/faculty disagreements.
Step 1: Discuss the issue with the Instructor/Professor. If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, move to step 2.
Step 2: Discuss the issue with the Instructor’s Department Head:
BSAT, MKTG, QMET courses → Department of Marketing: Moody Hall (MX) Room 332, 337-482-6347, marketing@louisiana.edu
BLAW, ECON, FNAN, INSR courses → Department of Economics and Finance: Moody Hall (MX) Room 326, 337-482-6087, ecfn@louisiana.edu
HMGT, MGMT, PLRM courses → Department of Management: Moody Hall (MX) Room 243, 337-482-6087, management@louisiana.edu
ACCT courses → Department of Accounting: Moody Hall (MX) Room 335, 337-482-6085, accounting@louisiana.edu
If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, move to step 3.
Step 3: Discuss the issue with the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration Office of Student Services: Jill Lemaire, Assistant Dean, Moody Hall Room 236. Call (337) 482-6205 or email jlemaire@louisiana.edu to make an appointment. If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, move to step 4.
Step 4: Discuss the issue with the Dean of the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. Call (337) 482-6492 or email shirley@louisiana.edu to make an appointment. If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, move to step 5.
Step 5: If the issue is a grade appeal, contact the University Ombudsman, Student Union Room 164 in the Office of Student Affairs, 337-482-6947 or ombudsman@louisiana.edu. If not a grade appeal, move to step 6.
Step 6: The next and final step would be to discuss the issue with the Provost, Martin Hall Room 231.
