Dear Moody College of Business Students,

Congratulations! You have completed the second week of remote learning. I hope that you are starting to feel more settled.

On Monday, March 23, all Moody College of Business employees departed campus to begin working remotely per the stay-at-home order of Governor John Bel Edwards. The University remains operational to provide continuing student services. Even though we have left our Moody Hall offices, we have not left you. Your health, emotional well-being, and academic progress remain our top priorities. All of our faculty and staff are available to you via email, phone, and other technologies.

Contact Us

Our office staff will continue to maintain regular University hours Monday-Thursday (7:30 am-11:45 am and 12:30-5 pm) and Friday (7:30 am-12:30 pm), excluding holidays. Contact your professors directly for their remote office hours and availability to “meet” virtually. E-mail and phone contact information for our department and program offices is available at https://business.louisiana.edu/about-us/contact-us. Our faculty and staff directory is available at https://business.louisiana.edu/faculty-staff/faculty-staff-directory.

Need Help?

If you need assistance with an academic issue or advising, please contact the Moody Business Office of Student Services at studentservices@louisiana.edu.

Advising & Registration

Advising will be held remotely beginning March 30. For undergraduate business students, advising is available but not mandatory (for this advising cycle only). Please refer to the e-mail from our Office of Student Services sent on March 25 for full details in preparing for registration and how to request remote advising. General information is available at https://business.louisiana.edu/current-students/advising

Advising for 100% online BSBA in Management, MBA, and MS Accounting students continues as normal.

Registration for the Summer Intercession, Summer, and Fall semesters is scheduled to begin April 14.

Reminders

  • Check your University email and Moodle courses regularly for messages or updates. If you need help, or do not have the technology to support remote learning, please reach out to your professor or department head.
  • Check official University news and announcements related to COVID-19 regularly at https://louisiana.edu/covid19-updates and on the University’s social media accounts, including Facebook and Twitter.
  • Follow Moody Business on social media (Facebook and Instagram) and tag us in your remote learning posts.

It has been an incredible journey over the past two weeks leading up to this point. We know it is not easy mentally or physically to deal with what is happening. If you need anything, please reach out to the University, your professor, our Moody Business Office of Student Services at studentservices@louisiana.edu, or me at geralyn.franklin@louisiana.edu.

Sincerely,

Geralyn McClure Franklin, Ph.D.
