Chelsea Vidrine is the Fall 2017 Outstanding Graduate for the Department of Marketing and Hospitality.

While maintaining a 3.65 cumulative GPA, Vidrine has been on the Dean’s List from Fall 2014 to Summer 2017 and also won the Ann Dobie Outstanding Freshman Essay Award. In addition to these awards, she was also granted the Herbert Abdalla Endowed Scholarship as well as being featured on the cover of the October edition of Community Chronicles.

During her time as a student, Vidrine was also a cheerleader for the New Orleans Saintsations. Throughout this time, she participated in an array of community service activities such as volunteering at Ochsner Health Center and working with the Mark Ingram Foundation for a holiday shopping spree for children challenged by the absence of an incarcerated parent.

While she plans on continuing her current job as a member of the outreach staff for the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection, and Restoration Act, Vidrine also wants to continue her education and earn a master’s in business administration with a concentration in sales leadership at UL Lafayette.

She is the daughter of Charles and Evelyn Vidrine of Opelousas, La.
