Jade Olivier has been selected as the Spring 2017 Outstanding Graduate for the Department of Management at the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration.

While maintaining a 4.0 GPA, Olivier has received many scholarships and awards including the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Academic Excellence Scholarship for eight consecutive semesters. She has also been included on the Dean’s List every semester since the fall of 2013 and has been the recipient of the UL Academic Achievement Award for the past three years. After working as a student worker for the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, the same department recently offered her a graduate assistantship position upon the completion of her degree.

Olivier also has plenty of experience in volunteer work. She has volunteered for UL’s Get on Board Day and Move-In-Day for the past three years and has also volunteered for The Big Event. Her volunteer work has also expanded outside of campus to the Eunice Manor Nursing Home where she worked in the beauty salon. She also completed community service at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church and organized a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

As she gains experience working for the Lafayette Schools Credit Union, she wants to pursue her MBA. She also hopes to one day form a scholarship program for future UL Lafayette students.

She is the daughter of Phyllis Latiolais of Opelousas, La. and Kevin Olivier of Cankton, La.
