An international business magazine has ranked the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s MBA program among the top 68 in North America.

The designation places the program in CEO Magazine’s top tier for MBAs. Other universities on the list include Texas A&M, Florida International and Temple.

The B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration executive MBA program is also among seven the magazine rated on its global EMBA list. Drexel University, the University of Memphis and the Birmingham Business School in the United Kingdom also made the Tier Two rankings.

CEO also cited UL Lafayette’s MBA and EMBA programs in its 2016 rankings.

The magazine ranks programs based on 11 criteria, including faculty quality, international diversity, class size and price. It then categorizes universities as Tier One or Tier Two, based on their overall percentage scores.

In a press release, the magazine’s editors said the ranking system “aims to cut through the noise and provide potential students with a performance benchmark” that helps them choose an MBA program that’s a good fit for them and their professional goals.

The recognition from CEO comes less than a year after The Princeton Review listed the college and its MBA program among the “Best 295 Business Schools.”

Dr. Gwen Fontenot, interim dean, said the consistent accolades the Moody College of Business earns “recognize the efforts of our dedicated faculty and verify for students that they are making the right decision when they choose UL Lafayette for their MBA.”

CEO Magazine is a monthly, global business magazine published in print and online. Its annual MBA rankings appeared in the April 4 edition, available online at https://issuu.com/ceo-magazine/docs/ceo_magazine_-_volume_25_-_2017_mba.
