Amanda Dupont has been selected as the Fall 2015 outstanding graduate of the Accounting Department at the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration.

With a 3.7 GPA, she has appeared on the Dean’s List three times, is a two-time scholarship award recipient at the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration award banquet, and was a Chancellor Honor Graduate with an Associate’s Degree from SLCC.

Along with her academic achievements, Dupont is an active member of Beta Alpha Psi, where she served as Secretary from the Fall 2014 to Spring 2015 semesters. She is also a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

She is very active in her community, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, The Big Event, Saint Joseph’s Diner, and the Figure Skating Club of New Orleans.

After graduation, Dupont plans to begin preparing for the Certified Public Accountant Exam. She has already accepted a full time tax staff position with Ernst and Young and will begin working at the Lafayette office in July of 2016.

Dupont is the daughter of Donna and Pierce Dupont, Jr., of Carencro, La.
