Trevor Bellard announced as Outstanding Graduate
Mon, 05/18/2015 - 10:59amWe are proud to announce Trevor Bellard as the Outstanding Graduate for the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration for the Spring 2015 semester. Trevor, an accounting major with a 3.90 GPA, is graduating in three years. He has been on the President’s List every semester, is a student in the Honors College, and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta. Trevor is a member of Beta Alpha Psi and Accounting Society IMA Student Chapter where he serves as President.
He has served as a senator for the Moody College of Business Administration in SGA where he was a voting member of the Committee to Reform the Budget Formula and Appropriations Process and Head of the Finance Committee.
In addition, Trevor is a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and a Peer Mentor. His service projects include Campus Clean up, the Big Event, St. Joseph’s Diner, and Habitat for Humanity. He plans to attend law school at Georgetown for both his JD and his LLM and, to ultimately, become a United States Congressman.
Trevor is the son of Shannon and Candi Bellard of Scott, La.
From Economics and Finance, Oskar Vikstrom, an economics major, has maintained a 3.91 GPA and is graduating in 3 ½ years. On the President’s List every semester, he is a member of Delta Sigma Pi and the Financial Management Association.
Oskar is a member of the Ragin’ Cajun Waterski Team and has three consecutive second placements at the National Waterski Championships. He was a member of the bronze medal team at the European & African Championships, placed 11th at the under 21 World Waterski Championship in 2013, and holds a Swedish National Record and several National Championship Medals.
He will pursue master’s degrees in financial economics and financial markets at the EDHEC Business School, one of the best business schools for finance in Europe. His ultimate goal is a career in asset management in London and to one day start his own hedge fund.
Oskar is the son of Mikael and Carina Vikstrom of Älvkarleby, Sweden.
From Management, Aimee Fortier currently has a 3.78 GPA. The recipient of numerous scholarships, she is a member of Alpha Lamba Delta and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. Aimee has been on the President’s and Dean’s Lists for seven semesters.
Active in her church, she is a member of UL Students for Life and Ragin’ Cajun Catholics where she served on the Discipleship Team, the Community Life Board, and as a bible study leader. Aimee has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, St Joseph’s Diner, Catholic Relief Services, retreats for high school students, and mission trips to Puerto Rico, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. After graduation, Aimee plans to utilize her management skills for a local Catholic Church Parish and ultimately for the Diocese of Lafayette.
Aimee is the daughter of Celeste and Gabe Fortier of Lafayette, LA.
From Marketing & Hospitality, Jordan Wallace, a Marketing major with a minor in International Business and a concentration in Sales, has a 3.65 GPA. Listed on both the Dean’s, President’s, and the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s lists, Jordan is a member of the UL Lafayette Softball team for which she has received numerous honors including Top 50 Watch List for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year in 2014, the Sun Belt Conference preseason Pitcher of the Year 2014, the LSWA Pitcher of the Year 2013, The NCAA Baton Rouge Regional MVP in 2013 to name few. She was Sunbelt Pitcher of the week nine times.
In addition, Jordan is a member of the UL Sales Team which placed third our to 42 teams in the International Collegiate Sales Competition in November 2014. She plans to pursue a career in marketing and sales in Texas as well as an MBA degree. She ultimately would like to start her own business in the health and wellness industry.
Jordan is the daughter of Jon and Amy Wallace of Weatherford, TX.
Madeleine Richard is the Spring 2015 outstanding graduate for the Master of Business Administration Program.
Madeleine is an MBA candidate with a 4.0 cumulative GPA. Madeleine was the International & Study Abroad Coordinator for the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. Through this position, Madeleine was able to share her passion for study abroad with students in the College of Business, as well as across the University. She also created the Study Abroad Ambassador Program, in hopes that past participants of the study abroad program would have to same opportunity to share their experiences. Madeleine has assisted in coordinating the International Speaker Series for the College of Business.
While working with the College of Business, Madeleine had the opportunity to assist with the creation and design of Marketing on the Geaux, a program for students and faculty to travel and learn about marketing principles and strategies in the field. She participated in the inaugural Marketing on the Geaux in Napa, California with several MBA students in January of this year.
Madeleine is active in the MBA Association and has served as Volunteer Events Coordinator as well as President. As President, Madeleine organized events such as the Back to School Social, MBAA @ the Ballpark, and the Spring Crawfish Boil. She has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and Festival International de Louisiane.
In addition to her work as a graduate assistant, Madeleine has worked as a Credit Analyst at FM Bank, and is excited to remain with the bank after graduation.
Madeleine is the daughter of Suzanne and Gerard Richard of Kaplan.
