MBA in Health Care Administration

The MBA with a Health Care Administration concentration is available on campus or 100% online with eight-week accelerated courses. The curriculum consists of 39 hours, with 15 credit hours of core business courses, 15 credit hours of Health Care Administration courses, and 6 credit hours of internships. These degree requirements may increase up to 15 additional semester hours (foundation courses) depending upon the undergraduate business courses previously completed. There is no thesis requirement. 

Curriculum

The core MBA Health Care Administration curriculum includes advanced courses in managerial economics; international business; marketing management; analytical methods for planning and control; and financial management and policy.

Health Care Administration courses include information systems; U.S. health care delivery systems; quality management in health care; strategic management in health care; and a choice of electives. Students also experience two internships within a health care organization. Each internship will be in a different administrative area of the organization.

Additional foundation courses, depending on previously completed undergraduate business courses, include accounting, economics, finance, marketing, and operations management.
