The Maraist Financial Services Lab is part of a larger plan for continuous improvement in the Moody College of Business with direct relevance to job creation and economic development within the regional business community. While traditional business curricula are often geared more toward the theoretical side, the primary goal of this lab is to provide Moody College of Business students the opportunity to develop advanced skills in an environment that simulates the modern business world and ultimately positions them as employees-of-choice with industry recruiters.
The Maraist Financial Services Lab project will redesign the existing student lounge area in F.G. Mouton Hall on the main campus of UL Lafayette and add approximately 1000 square feet of new construction, including a laboratory/training room featuring:
24 individual work stations
State-of-the art instructional equipment
Cutting-edge databases and software including Bloomberg
World clocks
Real time ticker and digital displays
