The University of Louisiana at Lafayette had a statewide economic impact of $379 million in fiscal year 2015.
Jared Matte has been selected as the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration’s Outstanding Graduate for the Department of Economics and Finance for the Spring 2017 semester.
In addition to graduating summa cum laude with a 3.93 GPA, Matte has maintained his position on the President’s List every semester since the spring of 2013. As a Finance major, he also was a co-founder of the UL Finance Club. As a non-traditional student graduating at the age of 38 and as a disabled veteran, Matte hopes that his successes inspire other students to pursue their dreams. He has recently applied to the law school programs at LSU as well as Tulane. After completing law school, Matte wants to gain experience and eventually work for the SEC.
