Dr. Lucy Henke will serve as the interim department head for the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration’s Department of Marketing and Hospitality Management beginning August 15, 2016. 

Henke, an associate professor of marketing, joined the College faculty in 1999 and specializes in teaching consumer behavior, marketing research, and entertainment marketing. She currently serves as assessment coordinator for the College and has served on numerous committees within the Department, College, and University. 

Henke has been an associated producer for the Center for Moving Image Arts at UL Lafayette since 2008. She was honored with the 2013 UL Lafayette Excellence in Academic Advising Award and the 2014 Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award. Her work has been published in the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Advertising, the Journal of Advertising Research, the Journal of Broadcasting, among other journals. 

Outside of the University she has served as a mentor with the American Pavilion Internship Program at the Cannes Film Festival (France) and is president and treasurer of Louisiana Cinematic Works. Henke has been president and education consultant for the Southern Screen Film Festival since 2014. She also directed and produced the documentary film “On the Wrong Side,” which has been selected for and awarded at several film festivals in addition to being featured in Steven Spielberg’s University of Southern California Shoah Visual History Archives Newsletter. 

Henke is a longstanding member of several professional marketing and consumer associations and also worked as a consultant with the Lafayette Economic Development Authority and Lafayette Entertainment Initiative. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans and master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
